I'm a City Girl Turned Country! New York City that is! My husband and I moved to Martinsville, VA with our two small children in 1994. We still visit the Big Apple often, but Martinsville is our home! We love living here! The weather is great with four seasons but much milder and the scenery is gorgeous. The Blue Ridge Mountains are only a 20 minute drive from our home. The small town atmosphere is very refreshing and the children have been learning and growing in the comfort of community schools. There is also art and entertainment in town as well as in nearby Greensboro, NC or Roanoke, VA which are growing metropolitan areas.
